This notice explains how Rich in Travel handles personal information when this website is used, an enquiry is made, a travel proposal is requested, travel notes are subscribed to or marketing is selected.
About Rich in Travel
Rich in Travel is operated by Daniel Páscoa, an Independent Travel Advisor under InteleTravel UK, ABTA member P7384. Enquiries can be sent to [email protected].
Information collected
When an enquiry is made, Rich in Travel may collect a name, email address, telephone number, preferred UK airport, travel dates, traveller numbers, approximate trip investment and any travel preferences shared. A subscription to travel notes records the supplied email address and subscription request. The website does not request passport details, payment information or sensitive health information.
How and why information is used
- To respond to an enquiry, prepare travel options and take requested steps before a booking.
- To communicate about an enquiry or booking and provide customer support.
- To meet legal, regulatory, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations.
- To send travel inspiration or offers only where an active opt-in or another lawful marketing permission applies.
The relevant lawful bases will normally be steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for optional email marketing.
Who receives your information
The website enquiry and subscription forms are processed by FormSubmit, which forwards the information to Rich in Travel by email. If you proceed with a proposal or booking, relevant information may be shared with InteleTravel UK Ltd and the named tour operator, airline, accommodation provider, insurer, transfer company or other supplier required to arrange the services you request. Those organisations may provide their own privacy information.
International processing
Some technology and travel suppliers may process personal information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law applies, information should be protected using an approved adequacy decision, contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not become bookings are normally retained for no longer than 12 months, unless there is a good reason to keep them for longer or earlier deletion is requested. Booking, financial and complaint records may need to be retained for longer to meet contractual or legal obligations. Marketing preferences are retained until an unsubscribe request is received or the record is no longer needed.
Email marketing
The enquiry form contains a separate, optional marketing choice and the inspiration page includes a dedicated subscription form. Marketing consent is not required to receive a proposal. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by replying to an email or contacting Rich in Travel. Withdrawing from marketing does not affect service messages about an enquiry or booking.
Cookies, local storage and external services
This website does not use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies. It uses a small item in your browser’s local storage solely to remember that you selected “Use essential only” in the cookie notice. This preference stays on your device and is not used to identify you, measure your activity or advertise to you.
The website loads fonts supplied by Google, which means a technical request, including your IP address and browser information, may be sent to Google when a page loads. The enquiry and subscription forms send information to FormSubmit only when you choose to submit a form.
You can review the current position at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. If non-essential cookies or analytics are introduced later, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before they are activated.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, rights may include access, correction, erasure or restriction of personal information, objection to certain uses, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. Contact Rich in Travel using the details above. A complaint can also be made to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information, but ordinary email and internet transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure. Sensitive documents should not be sent until an appropriate method has been confirmed. This notice may be updated when services or legal requirements change; the date above shows the latest revision.
